Established in 2012, Prolaz is a gateway service provider in the payment card industry focused on releasing the full potential of the EFT POS terminal for banks and merchants. Through our modern data center in Zagreb, Croatia, we offer innovative, cloud-based terminal driving gateway solutions to support or upgrade existing static legacy solutions that are expensive to maintain.
Prolaz has developed a new approach that turn the POS terminal into a generic device connected to our gateway host where a library of cloud based solutions can be available through the generic terminal quickly and without modifying or developing new terminal applications.
In the last 5 years the majority of the investment and development into new services has focused on the growing e-commerce sector. However, transactions through EFT POS terminal still represents over 50% of the total payments market but has remained static with little disruption during the period. This is partly because of the legacy hardware barriers that dominates the sector today.
Application development barriers are removed while still maintaining full EMV compliance and the highest PCI DSS security.
